As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for marketing rental properties, handling inquiries, showing available units, and ensuring a seamless leasing process for potential tenants. Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Promotion:
Advertise available units through online platforms, print materials, and other methods.
Prepare and distribute property brochures, digital listings, and signage.
Conduct market research to stay competitive with rental rates and market trends.
Tenant Inquiries & Communication:
Respond to inquiries from prospective tenants through phone, email, or in-person visits.
Provide property tours, highlighting key features and answering questions about the property and its amenities.
Follow up with leads, nurturing relationships to convert inquiries into applications.
Lease Administration:
Screen prospective tenants by reviewing applications, conducting background checks, and verifying references.
Prepare and present lease agreements, ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations.
Collect required documentation, deposits, and fees from tenants.
Ensure accurate records of leasing transactions and renewals are maintained.
Property Management Coordination:
Coordinate with property managers and maintenance teams to address tenant needs or property issues.
Maintain a strong knowledge of the properties under management and communicate important details to prospective tenants.
Ensure all vacancies are cleaned and maintained to attract new tenants.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective tenants, handling inquiries, complaints, or requests in a timely manner.
Assist tenants with the move-in and move-out processes, ensuring a positive rental experience.
Reporting:
Keep accurate records of shows, applications, and leases signed.
Assist in preparing leasing reports and occupancy status updates.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, real estate, or a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service preferred.
Knowledge of local rental laws, leasing regulations, and property management practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and property management software (Onesite) preferred.
Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple priorities.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
This role typically requires working in an office environment but also includes property site visits, showings, and meetings with clients.
